It feels good to know that someone is listening. Even if that someone is a cute green owl.
I am am happy to report that I am still learning French with Duolingo. It has been over 300 days and counting.

I use Duolingo everyday to study languages. First it was Turkish, then German and the last 653 days it has been espanol – I am enjoying spanish the most and hope to become fluent so I can visit and surprise friends in Mexico city.
I am big fan of lifetime learning and that’s one of the reasons I blog. I figure retirement isn’t a time to coast, because that’s downhill. hugs to you, my duolingo friend as well. – David ♥♥

HI David,
653 days?!?! I am impressed!! And not to mention Turkish and German. I feel like a lazy slob now lol
You are right, retirement shouldn’t mean do less or nothing. I should be just more time to do the things we love, and pursue new passions.
Thank you and blessings to you!

To just to attempt to learn those is impressive to me.
Toastmasters keeps getting mentioned to me, by you and others. Perhaps I should make the time to look into it. 🙂

I would be thrilled to hear your reaction to being a guest to a local meeting. Guests are welcome to visit clubs for 3 meetings to learn. If you go to toastmasters.org site you can see how many clubs are near you. Some clubs are visiting via zoom right now so you might not need to leave home to visit a club. I can’t wait to hear your decision.

Thank you for sharing!!.. all the best with your adventure in school!.. yes, there are times when we need to be heard.. “Holding on to bitterness is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die” (Author Unknown)… no green owls here, have a couple of squirrels but I believe they ignore me.. 🙂 🙂
Until we meet again..
May flowers always line your path
and sunshine light your way,
May songbirds serenade your
every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that’s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.

Hi Larry,
Thank you! Like you, I am always trying to learn something new.
Bring them some nuts and they will be your friends forever. Well, maybe not all that, but they will eat the nuts and remember you.
Blessings to you!
