“Sometimes we just need to be heard… There are times in life when being heard leads to being healed.” ―
It feels good to know that someone is listening. Even if that someone is a cute green owl.
I am am happy to report that I am still learning French with Duolingo. It has been over 300 days and counting.

Sweet! Good on ya!
Thank you Cassa! 🙂
Blessings!
Kudos Ana. Yes, being heard is a deep and shared need. Listening to understand is key.
Thank you Brad!
I struggle with that part (listening). Too often I am already thinking what I will be saying next.
Blessings!
You can practice and learn.
Yes, I need to!!
It’s good to keep learning! I need to go back and work on my Italian again!
It is the key to remaining young 🙂
Italian is on my list!!
Blessings Andi!
I use Duolingo everyday to study languages. First it was Turkish, then German and the last 653 days it has been espanol – I am enjoying spanish the most and hope to become fluent so I can visit and surprise friends in Mexico city.
I am big fan of lifetime learning and that’s one of the reasons I blog. I figure retirement isn’t a time to coast, because that’s downhill. hugs to you, my duolingo friend as well. – David ♥♥
HI David,
653 days?!?! I am impressed!! And not to mention Turkish and German. I feel like a lazy slob now lol
You are right, retirement shouldn’t mean do less or nothing. I should be just more time to do the things we love, and pursue new passions.
Thank you and blessings to you!
I wish I could tell you I retained the Turkish and German, but I haven’t so don’t be impressed. LOL I have stuck with Toastmasters since 2006, a wonderful organization and I think you could nearly every city in the world and visit a club.
To just to attempt to learn those is impressive to me.
Toastmasters keeps getting mentioned to me, by you and others. Perhaps I should make the time to look into it. 🙂
I would be thrilled to hear your reaction to being a guest to a local meeting. Guests are welcome to visit clubs for 3 meetings to learn. If you go to toastmasters.org site you can see how many clubs are near you. Some clubs are visiting via zoom right now so you might not need to leave home to visit a club. I can’t wait to hear your decision.
I will seriously look into it and report back to you 🙂
I recommend you investigate a club close to home but you are welcome to visit my club online club 2196677
Well done Ana!
Thank you Aletta!
A blessed day to you!
Thank you very much Anao!
Great sticktoittiveness!!!
Is that a real word? I just learned something new 🙂
Thank you Luanne! Blessings to you!
Hehe. I don’t know if it’s a real word or not!!! it should be!
and it actually is!! I am sure it is one of those words that have been added lately.
That’s amazing! And kind of funny.
Keep going. What you’ve learned is yours to keep forever. So happy for you. xoxo
Thank you so much Selma! I agree, knowledge is one things that we get to keep.
Blessings!
Thank you for sharing!!.. all the best with your adventure in school!.. yes, there are times when we need to be heard.. “Holding on to bitterness is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die” (Author Unknown)… no green owls here, have a couple of squirrels but I believe they ignore me.. 🙂 🙂
Until we meet again..
May flowers always line your path
and sunshine light your way,
May songbirds serenade your
every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that’s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.

Hi Larry,
Thank you! Like you, I am always trying to learn something new.
Bring them some nuts and they will be your friends forever. Well, maybe not all that, but they will eat the nuts and remember you.
Blessings to you!

Wonderful, I am learning too. I’m only on day 80. I recognised Duo straight away. It is great fun. I would have it translated it like you here. 👍

For sure! One day at a time 🙂
Blessings!
I’ll never look at a green owl the same way again. 😉 – Marty
Hi Marty
Once one starts Duolingo, one develops a love-hate relationship with green owls lol
Blessings!
Wow, Impressive Ana Star!!! 👏👏👏👏
Thank you Cindy!!
Wishing you a blessed weekend!
Indeed Ana Star! Thanks for that and you too! 💖
Marche à suivre 🥳
PS: I don’t know French
(Googled this)😂
ha! what does that mean? I still don’t know, even after over 300 days of French lol
Marche is walk. Suivre is follow. Perhaps combined they mean one step at a time?
Thank you and blessings to you!
It means “way to go” according to Google
Awesome!!! A new French expression to add to my repertoire!
Merci!
It is always great to learn a new language.
I agree! One never knows when it will come handy!
