“I can bear any pain as long as it has meaning.” ― 1Q84
It has been unbelievably hot in Brazil now. When I arrived 3 weeks ago, it was perfect. It was in the high 60s, low 70s.
It is spring now. I can only imagine what it will be like in the summer.
I got the results of my MRIs and went back to the doctor to review them. It turns out I have a lot issues in my neck, hip and lower back. It is from years of overworking and lack of care, years of ignoring pain, years of prolonged sitting at the computer, etc.
My neck is the worst. The pain shoots down the arm and it made impossible to sit down. The doctor gave me medication for inflammation and pain. I also got infiltration done on the neck, shoulder and arm. The doctor wanted to do it on the back and hip as well, but I wanted to address one area at a time. It worked like a charm. At least now, I am able to work, sit and sleep without pain. The next steps would be infiltration on the hip and back, and physical therapy.
Looking out from mom’s balcony:

A blessed weekend to you all! ♥♥♥
“Pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our consciences, but shouts in our pains. It is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.” ―

Thank you for sharing your experience so openly. Sometimes, we become so engrossed in our work and responsibilities that we neglect our own health until our body forces us to slow down. I’m glad the treatment has brought you relief and that you can now work, sit and sleep comfortably. Please take good care of yourself, follow your doctor’s advice and give your body the rest it deserves. Health should always come before work
Hi Vijay,
You are right, this is all about neglect.
I always ignored pain, putting work ahead of everything. It is time to rethink that and focus on my health.
Thank you and blessings!
I’m sorry you’re in pain, but glad you got it looked at and that you now have medication to help. Stay well! 🙏
Thank you so much Ab!!
Have a blessed weekend!
Hope you get better soon my friend
Hi Sadje,
Slowly, but surely.
Thank you and blessings!
Working at the computer is just not very healthy. Do look after yourself. I wish you all the best with your pain that it goes , – lots of excercises and you’ll be dancing on the table again 🙂
haha, I have done that, but I do think that my days of dancing on the tables are gone! lol
Thank you and blessings to you!
glad to hear you are taking care of yourself and that it’s working, and sorry for your pain
