My love affair with my bread machine and making breads and cakes continues.
I have been making mostly whole wheat breads. The one with honey and molasses is my favorite.
I made the above white loaf on the bread machine. The Irish soda bread I made in the oven, as it doesn’t involve any kneading or rising.
They both came out great. The white bread is simple and great for sandwiches.
The soda bread came out great, but still I think I will add some more sweetness to the it.
There is a soda bread that I love, from a bakery that is over 1 hour away from my home. So I am not able to buy it as often as I would like. I search for that taste. It is probably not the original soda bread, but I want to get as close to that taste as I can.
The above is a pound cake I made in the bread machine. Even though it doesn’t look all that, it is delicious. Because I cannot follow any recipe and I always have to add my own twist, I added a couple of drops of vanilla extract and a couple of teaspoons of chocolate. That is why it came out with that color.
I plan on doing this same recipe again and probably adding a drop of coconut or almond extract, or more chocolate.
Tomorrow I plan on making a chocolate cake and frosting, not in the bread machine. Stay tuned for the pictures.

So glad you’re enjoying your bread maker. The bread looks delicious!
Thank you, Rachel!
It is fun waiting for the bread to be made. And there is nothing better than fresh made warm bread!
Agreed! Fresh warm bread all day, please!
I really want a bread machine again! I made two loaves last week, no knead recipe KA bread flour,…these look yummy 🤤!
The bread machine made me want to bake again, so now I am using the machine and also doing recipes without the machine and using the oven.
I am becoming addicted lol
Blessings to you!
That’s wonderful! It makes for a nice combination! When I was in my 20’s I went through two machines. My boys loved the bread, cinnamon rolls, pizza dough,…and their dad wanted homemade bread all the time! lol I’ll be 54 this July and I’m thinking of a new bread machine for my birthday! Yay! 💛 many blessings to you and yours!
Get it at your own risk lol you may become addicted like me 🙂
YES!! I’m addicted to bread already….so there’s that. LOL! 💛😊
♥♥
🙂 You will be saving lots of money by baking your own bread and pastries.
Continue to use your talent wisely, my friend.
HI Renard,
I actually joked about that, just now. I am thinking about mastering one quality of bread or pastry and just sell that… who knows.
Blessings!
Your post made me want to invest in a bread making machine 😁
Be careful, it has become an addiction lol
Blessings to you!
So awesome you are enjoying it so much, Looks delicious and now I wish I didn’t give mine away! I’m hungry now. xo ❣️
For now it is all enjoyable, but I can see how easy it is to just let it go after awhile.
Blessings!
My grandmother told me….recipes are mere suggestions. So you keep on adding your twist!!
hahaha, I agree with her!! She was probably a great baker and cook!
I live a gluten free lifestyle (for health reasons) but this looks wonderful.
There are some gluten free breads that I want to try. I will post the results when I do.
Blessings!
how wonderful and glad you’re discovering all you can do with this
It has been a delicious discovery… well, frustrating some times 🙂
Blessings!
I love soda bread! Its nice with some dried fruit added to it! Or even some nuts!
This time I only added raisins, but I plan on adding different fruits in the future. I am not sure about the nuts.
Blessings to you!
Or you could add banana or chocolate chips? 🤗
Chocolate chips – great idea! or even coconut chips. I eat bananas and banana bread, but they are not my favorite flavor.
Oh yes, coconut chips that’s a good idea. I never thought of that 😁
OMG so yummy
They are 🙂
Blessings to you!
Keep sharing the delicious ness.
Yes, sir 🙂 I will do my best.
Everything looks delicious. I like the look of the Irish soda bread.
It was yummy, but I still think the soda bread needs some fine tuning. It was the right look, but I think it needed to be a tad sweeter.
Those loaves look amazing! I would love to taste that honey and molasses loaf… but after our 34 days visiting family and friends in CA and eating out a lot, I need to take off those 5 pounds I gained. Don’t think your breads would help me do that. What do you think?
I think you need to stay away from my breads lol
I am trying to have small quantities, and extra bicycle rides.
Blessings to you!
Good ideas!
That looks great, sure you are enjoying your creations. 🙏
Hi Ute,
I am! I need to do extra laps on my bike now lol
Blesssings!
Wow❕❕❕❕❕🥰
Thank you! Blessings!
I’ve never heard of soda bread before! Looks like a giant biscuit? The pound cake looks and sounds delicious based on the ingredients you used!
I had never heard of it, until a co-worker gave me one from a bakery near his home in upstate NY. I became hooked. It is like a giant scone. By the way, that is the next thing I want to try.
I’ve always thought of soda bread as dry, am I wrong? Maybe your added ingredients made it more moist. Looks like you’re having a lot of fun in the kitchen 🙂
It is on the drier side, and I like that about it. It is has been a lot fun for sure to experiment with different breads for sure! 🙂
I need to double up on those bicycle rides!!

Those breads look delicious!! I really like to cook but I burn everything or mess up even if I use the simplest thing 😂
Hi Maya,
They are delicious. I always liked baking better than cooking, but had not baked anything in years.
YouTube is the best for directions.
Blessings!
Yes YouTube is the best free source of learning things! I hope you have a great day/night!

These look incredible! Not even a huge bread fan, but I’d definitely make an exception. Nothing beats the smell of fresh-baked bread! Ana, I can’t get over your many, many talents. Amazing! 🤍🤍
Hi Stacy,
What???? Not a bred fan!!!!!! I wish I felt that way. I remember a time a didn’t care for it, but now the addiction keeps getting worst and worst.
