Amazing Grace, being grateful, being loving, being thankful, choosing faith, choosing hope, choosing love, Il Divo, remembering others, remembering to help, Steve Maraboli
In these very uncertain times it is easy to feel powerless and paralyzed by fear. Today I am looking to the skies and asking for guidance and strength and most importantly I am saying a prayer of gratitude.
I am thankful for life. I am grateful because I perspire, bleed, cry and breathe faith and hope! I am positive, optimistic and more hopeful than ever.
You have a choice. Choose to be grateful. Choose to be kind. Choose to be human! Remember the less fortunate. Remember the weaker. Remember the elderly.
Help and give thanks!
Thank you for coming here and gracing me with your always so supportive words. You make me stronger.

I love the way Steve Maraboli thinks and writes. He is a motivational speaker and author. Today I came across this awesome passage.
“Why Not You?
Today, many will awaken with a fresh sense of inspiration. Why not you?
Today, many will open their eyes to the beauty that surrounds them. Why not you?
Today, many will choose to leave the ghost of yesterday behind and seize the immeasurable power of today. Why not you?
Today, many will break through the barriers of the past by looking at the blessings of the present. Why not you?
Today, for many the burden of self doubt and insecurity will be lifted by the security and confidence of empowerment. Why not you?
Today, many will rise above their believed limitations and make contact with their powerful innate strength. Why not you?
Today, many will choose to live in such a manner that they will be a positive role model for their children. Why not you?
Today, many will choose to free themselves from the personal imprisonment of their bad habits. Why not you?
Today, many will choose to live free of conditions and rules governing their own happiness. Why not you?
Today, many will find abundance in simplicity. Why not you?
Today, many will be confronted by difficult moral choices and they will choose to do what is right instead of what is beneficial. Why not you?
Today, many will decide to no longer sit back with a victim mentality, but to take charge of their lives and make positive changes. Why not you?
Today, many will take the action necessary to make a difference. Why not you?
Today, many will make the commitment to be a better mother, father, son, daughter, student, teacher, worker, boss, brother, sister, & so much more. Why not you?
Today is a new day!
Many will seize this day.
Many will live it to the fullest.
Why not you?”

Why Not You? This is an encouraging and inspirational post. I think it speaks to you, me and nearly everyone.
It reminds me of a time a few years back when I was encouraged to say Yes; so often I say no when opportunities come for the wrong reason. I say No because I have never done it before, I say no because I am worried I might fail, I say No because I am nervous or shy (although I hide it well).
I was encouraged instead to say Yes, and not fear failure. To say Yes because I would do my best, to say Yes because no one was perfect, to say Yes because I was not trying to be a heart surgeon and perfection was not the goal.
Since then I have tried to say Yes and I have been glad. Since then I walked through when God opened doors, and this could be a message to you my friend to say Yes also. I don;t know how to send a heart, so pretend. 🙂

Hi David
I am glad you enjoyed this post.
I love what you wrote. It is a great reminder to take chances and say yes to adventures and life.
I am going to reflect on that and make sure I don’t miss opportunities, and the doors that God opens.
To make a heart all you have to do is hold the Alt key and the number 3 at the same time, try it ♥♥ I now need to learn how to do hugs, and stars and other symbols 🙂
Blessings!

Thanks for the inspiration, as we become confined, we need it. Love Il Divo… Do you also know Il Volvo, the Italian singers? If not, look them up on YouTube, they are wonderful. Have a good week.

Hope you found them… It’s IL VOLO… if you looked for VOLVO, you might not find them. Lots of great songs, look at Grande Amore. 🙂

LOL – I’m so glad! My mother was born and raised in Florence, so when we were young we always listened to Opera… my mother would cry when she would hear old Italian songs. The Italians get very emotional. So, when these young guys came and they were singing many of the old Italian songs…
WELL, it was wonderful, because it was teaching the young generation to appreciate the old Italian songs. AND YOU ARE RIGHT, these guys are CUTE. Did you see their FIRST videos from the talent show… it’s fun to see how they evolved and gained confidence in themselves.
And now, since we must work at home, I think we need a variety of music to keep us sane and happy!
How are you doing? Are you in NJ? I’m in Chicago, it seems to get worse by the day, but TRYING to stay positive. Be healthy, be safe, KEEP SMILING! Make a beautiful mozaic.

Florence sounds so picturesque. I hope to visit it after this nightmare is over.
The 3 Il Volo guys are perfect to introduce the young people to the beautiful classic Italian songs. They possess talent, good looks, charm and seem to be good guys.
I listen to everything from hip-hop to Opera, with plenty of Brazilian jazz and pop music in between. Yesterday during the day I had meditation music during the day. My sister said she couldn’t stand those unless she was in a spa getting a massage lol
I am in NY. I work in Manhattan and live in New Rochelle, the hub of the Coronavirus in NY State :-(. I started working from home yesterday. I rather work in the office, but I am making the best of it.
Unfortunately the mosaic studio is closed but I am thinking about starting something small at home.
You be safe out there and thank you for stopping by sharing your good energy 🙂
Blessings! ♥♥

Yes, you can do something small with the mosaics at home. Since we are home, it is time to be artistic; otherwise, we will become mad with boredom when we are not working — CAN’T have that! Have a good day! Stay well msg from Chicago! 🙂
