“I dream of a better tomorrow. One where chickens can cross the road and their motives remain unquestioned.” ―
I am not sure if I made a chicken, a hen or a rooster. It didn’t come out as I intended. But then again, most of my pieces never do. They always end up very different from my original idea. Still, I love them all.

“Ah, that is interesting! Are there chickens?”
“No.”

That is super cool! I love this because I live on a small organic farm and my chickens are my therapy!!

This is absolutely FABULOUS! It looks like a ROYAL chicken with a crown on its head. Do you have it propped up with wire? It’s so colorful. I love the feathers too. Where do you find all the special dishes? Do you go to estate sales? Or Can you buy these in bulk somewhere.

Right now I just have it propped up against the wall. When I was making it, I didn’t realize it is perhaps too heavy to hang. I plan to get one of those plate stands and use that.
I have to clean it off a little more, there is still grout on some of the plates. I used the plates from the studio I go to. The owner has tons of them. People are always giving them to her. I do like to go to thrift store and look for them, as well, as frames that I can possibly use.
I like the very thin plates, easier to cut 🙂
Blessings to you, and thank you for the support!

LOL – if I lived closer, I’d be knocking on your door with some dishes and say, “Look what I found for you!” Keep going, all of your pieces are special.

Wow that is amazing. How does it stand?
And I always wondered where do you get all these lovely broken plates from?

Thank you for sharing!!.. well done and definitely a chicken (there are many types of chickens world over).. it is what it is because your heart wished for it to be… 🙂
Hope all is well in your world and life is all you wish for it to be and until we meet again..
May the love that you give
Always return to you,
That family and friends are many
And always remain true,
May your mind only know peace
No suffering or strife,
May your heart only know love and happiness
On your journey through life.

I find it interesting how you know just when to take individual photos as you create your artwork. It’s like one of those little flip-books where you thumb through the pages and the drawing is animated. Each of your photos show just the right amount of progress as your final product emerges. I enjoy it because we get to experience the process as well as the art itself.

Hi Dave,
I take so many pictures, and still oftentimes I forget to take of some steps. Looking at the picture often gives me a better idea of the way it will end up looking. I am glad you enjoy seeing how it evolves from pieces to the final product.
Thank you and blessings to you!
