This morning I saw another turtle. This one was still in the sand laying her eggs.
This is their routine every season. Since this is my first season here, I am amazed by the sight.
I made sure to keep my distance and respect her space, so I zoomed in on the photos and videos.

Amazing and beautiful- both. I have enjoyed both posts with turtles recently and I remember seeing small diving birds along the Gulf of Mexico near Sarasota. They were fun to watch.

Thank you!
Nature is so amazing. Now that I am in Florida I have been able to stop and pay attention to the natural beauty around me.
I love those diving birds. Watching the pelicans fishing is so much fun.

How long do her eggs break and become baby turtles? This turtle looks giant.

I think it is normally around 60 days, but it can take anywhere from 40 to 80 days.
This one was smaller than the first one I saw.

Oh, it takes long. I’m so glad they’re love and protected there. Please, let us see the baby turtles soon, Star.

I hope I am around to see them, but unfortunately I think I will be in Brazil at that time 😦

I would watch this ritual for hours. We saw some smaller ones swimming around in our local ponds last week and couldn’t take our eyes off of them!

Hi Dave
It is indeed mesmerizing.
That is my morning walk, and at sunset I ride my bike along the river, where, I swear I saw a shark chasing and catching a fish. By the time I was able to get the cell, I caught only the fin.,

It was indeed, and I am happy to say that that the few people around were all keeping their distance.
