Here are some pictures of the last two restaurants I have been to. And some pictures of my last bakes.
I often don’t think of pictures until it is too late. So here are pictures of half eaten food.
Restaurant Bela Lisboa – Portuguese food
Picanha – a Brazilian cut of meat, and a glass of vinho verde – green wine
Classic Portuguese dessert: Pastel de nata, custard tart
The Garlic Restaurant – Italian Restaurant
Cosmopolitan at The Garlic Restaurant

Corn muffins: tastes better than it looks
Lemon Pound Cake, made in the bread machine – Delicious!
“There is no love sincerer than the love of food.” ―

The pound cake looks delicious. I love that in the morning or afternoon with coffee or tea.

This one came out great! Next time I will add a little more lemon, as the taste of lemon was a bit faint.

I’d like to try the muffins and that cake. Do you have the recipe for the cake please??

They were both great, but the cake was better.
It was done in the bread maker, I will send you the recipe 🙂

Love the name “The Garlic”. What is the meaning of “& blu bar” (or am I reading that wrong)?

Hi Dave,
For a second I had no idea what you were talking about lol
Then I saw it. Inside the restaurant there are 2 bars, so I am guessing, one is the blu bar. They play live music, so perhaps blu is an allusion to blues .
Blessings to you!

I was gluten free for a little bit… it didn’t last.
But they are getting better and better at producing good gluten free options.

Yes they are! Gluten makes me bloat and gain pounds. Oh well, it could be worse! It isn’t that bad leaving it behind after a while:)
