Up to now I have worked mostly on flat surfaces. I wanted to try something that had curves. I chose a beautiful golden vase that was almost too pretty to cover. So I chose not to cover it completely.
But now I am not sure if I should leave it this way or go back and cover the whole thing. While I decide, I started a new project that I am excited about. Well, I get excited about all my pieces.
Wishing you all a blessed weekend! May it be restful. May it be fun!
“There is no exquisite beauty… without some strangeness in the proportion.”
―
“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.” ― Stray Birds
“You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.”

I lik eit as it is, not all covered. Your colours fit nicely with the gold vase. ♥

Hi Ute,
I am leaning towards leaving it as is, since I already moved on to another piece.

Just beautiful. I’d leave it as it is. A perfect balance. Can I ask? Do you cut all your own pieces? I have a small antique table and I’ve been wanting to create a beautiful top for it since it’s in my sunroom and holds three orchid plants. I’ve been looking at supplies that I might need. Just now I remember I do have a lot is sea glass. I could use that as well. You inspire me in many ways. Have a wonderful weekend too!

Thank you for sharing your work of art!.. well done!!.. “No road is too long for him who advances slowly and does not hurry, and no attainment is beyond his reach who equips himself with patience to achieve it.”( Jean de La Bruyere )… 🙂
Until we meet again..
May your day be touched
by a bit of Irish luck,
Brightened by a song
in your heart,
And warmed by the smiles
of people you love.
