“Your fear is 100% dependent on you for its survival.”― Steve Maraboli
2 quick updates:
I have been looking for signs, not only now, but always. I think the Universe (God, the Light) lets us know what path to take and if we are on the right path.
On Sunday after we had an awesome Chinese meal (and after I published my last post regarding my insecurities and fears) Mom handed me a fortune cookie.
When I opened this is what it said:
I think this one cookie is a sign that I should continue being my bold, take chances self! Also that I should have more faith!
Is God talking to me through a cookie? Well, I think God uses each and all things, it all depends on my faith. Fitting that God would use a cookie taking into account my love for sugar 🙂
So it looks like Israel and a larger apartment are in my future. At least, that is what I am going to work towards.
“You are only afraid if you are not in harmony with yourself.” ― Hermann Hesse
****
Updating on my post regarding the Brazilian flag I have at work:
My American flag arrived today and here is what you now see when you step into my office:
I think it is a much better representation of how I feel: a harmonious duality!
None of my co-workers have mentioned anything. Well, they didn’t care before when I only had the Brazilian flag and I guess they couldn’t care less now either.
“Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.” –― Mahatma Gandhi

You need to be aware of the risks of displaying the flag incorrectly. Though there are no penalties in law for incorrect display, Americans of an extremist bent sometimes take offense in display errors, especially when the person displaying the flag is originally from another country.
(I mention this to you to save you finding out who among your acquaintances is intolerant and among those extremists…!)

oh my goodness I had no idea! I naively thought that as long as I treated it with respect it was okay. Well I actually really didn’t think. I better go read about it, I am probably doing everything wrong.

I have kept in a porcelain tea cup fortune cookie messages that I ‘took to heart’ or meant something to me, at the time. It is always nice to have a positive astrology post, even though I don’t really ‘believe’ in them, I enjoy checking mine out, when I have a chance in my Mom’s or friends’ newspapers. Not one to subscribe, so I feel that those once in a blue moon messages, may be Signs! I think this was a cool post!

Thank you dearest friend! Yes! I’m focusing on what is important (the homeless families) and trying to do the best I can everyday! Everything else is not possible, ie worrying about being fired as I see others get let go, and so forth. I can only do my best everyday until God fires me into a new direction… 😀

Just wanted to say how much you have inspired me to start dating too. Its definitely not easy putting myself out there, but I feel like its the only way to grow in new positive directions and to learn more about myself. Thank you for being such a courageous lady in encouraging us to not only pursue our dreams, but also to not be afraid of being open to listening to our heart too. I hope you never give up, and keep visualizing what it is you want in your life, because I know it exists out there for you, bella! Hugs and much love to you. MUCHO love to you….

Put yourself out there, but please, always be safe and put you and your safety first!

I have had on my heart as well about making a decision to go forward..and the quote about fear…spoke to me..I have been hesitant while resesrching..have been given the words a couple of times to “jump in”.and Ive been ..on the edge of my leap of faith…Im too methodical for my own good..so if i throw fear over the edge instead..I should be good to go! 🙂
I came to the conclusion if God planted the seed of possibility in my heart..and it is for Good..which you know is from God..then I will have to trust he has given me the tools in which to accomplish it.
Btw..I completely agree God speaks to our heart in many ways…why not a well positioned fortune cookie…Best of luck in your decisions…

I guess we all need to strike a balance between the heart and mind. I have learned I can be very careless by following my heart blindly, then after the breakup I went into super safe mode totally fearful of doing anything.
Believing that God has my back and will guide me and protect me no matter what helps me to keep fear at bay.
So, yes I am going to listen to a cookie! 🙂
May God guide you! Blessings! 🙂
